The Centre for Planetary Science and Exploration engages in collaborations with local and national space-relevant associations to contribute its expertise to credible space advocacy organizations; to extend its experiential training capacity and to effectively share the wonder of space with Canadians.
Geological Association of Canada (Planetary Science Division)
The Geological Association of Canada is an association which brings together Canadian geoscientists to ” facilitate the scientific well-being and professional development of its members, the learned discussion of geoscience in Canada, and the advancement, dissemination and wise use of geoscience in public, professional and academic life”.1
The objectives the Planetary Science Division are to:
- Advance the field of planetary sciences in Canada, which includes, but is not limited to planetary geology, geophysics, geochemistry, meteoritics, and astrobiology.
- Encourage collaboration between earth and planetary scientists in order to maximize Canadian and international expertise in relevant fields.
- Establish a forum and form strategic partnerships between universities, museums, industry, and government.
- Attract and train students in the fields of earth and planetary sciences in Canada.
- Ensure representation in the national and international sphere on matters concerning planetary sciences, including discussions with funding agencies.
- Provide leadership for the Canadian planetary sciences community by running short courses, field trips, workshops, and summer schools.

Space Society of London
The Space Society of London (SSoL) was formed in 2008 by a group of students at the University of Western Ontario to encourage student involvement in space related activities. SSoL works closely with Western Space in developing activities and events related to space for students at Western and the London community.
