Interdisciplinary Graduate Scholarship

Western Space is pleased to announce funding for a limited number of Interdisciplinary Graduate Scholarships on a competitive basis.

These will be awarded to incoming or current MSc or PhD students co-supervised by two Core Western Space faculty members from two different home departments or faculties. The requirement for two Core Western Space faculty members can be waived if one of the supervisors is a Core faculty member and if the Scholarship application is accompanied by an application from the second faculty member for Core membership within Western Space.

A number of awards ranging from $5,000 to $10,000 will be made.

Requirements for application

Students must be registered (full time) – or intend to be registered – in the Collaborative Graduate Program in Planetary Science.

Your supervisor must apply on your behalf regardless of whether they are listed as primary or secondary co-supervisor.

Applicants will be ranked according to the following evaluation criteria with equal weighting:

1) academic excellence
2) research ability or potential
3) communication, interpersonal and leadership abilities
4) interdisciplinary linkages

Applications are closed.
