CPSX Interdisciplinary Undergraduate Research Awards

The Centre for Planetary Science and Exploration (CPSX) is pleased to announce funding for CPSX Interdisciplinary Undergraduate Research Awards at Western on a competitive basis.

  • Awards are $4,500 + supervisor contribution
  • 16 weeks of full time placement
  • Working on an interdisciplinary research project offered by one (or more) Core CPSX faculty members. Associate CPSX faculty members can act as co-supervisors. For details on how to become a Core or Associate Member of CPSX, please contact cpsx@uwo.ca.
  • Students must be registered (full time) and be in Years 1, 2 or 3 of their bachelor’s degree at the time of submission and be in a module/program from participating CPSX departments. Students who will complete their undergraduate degree in Spring 2018 are also eligible provided a case is made as to how this research could lead to potential graduate work at Western. 
  • Criteria for selection will be the academic excellence of the student and the nature of the proposed research. A minimum “B” cumulative average is required
